ABSTRACT

This paper describes the A10-WEST coordinated ramp-metering project, part of the DRIVE-II- project EUROCOR. It deals with the feasibility phase, in which two simulation studies were conducted. These studies encouraged to install 4 on-ramp installations and to investigate seven different strategies. The implementation phase is not yet completed after encountering some problems. Something is said about the different control strategies that are assessed and about the first results.
