Abstract

How does natural (human or animal) intelligence work? A remarkable amount of knowledge that is related to this question has become available from diverse disciplines during the last decades. The paper provides arguments that support the relevance of available knowledge on natural intelligence for Control Engineering education. The main part of the paper outlines the contents of a course on “Natural and Artificial Intelligence” that has been offered by the author to Control and Production Engineering students in three different countries in the last four years.
